its actually close to what Ksar said. they follow a system of meritocracy, where the viscounts expertise is what allows her to take care of them regardless of her age as an assistant and really, disciple. i mean it goes both ways that if she is awarded or recognized, the master is treatet positively but if she ever drops the ball, im pretty sure her and the viscounts blood would go

i know she’s completely capable but it is absolutely hilarious that they’re leaving the health of a duchess and her son’s health in the hands of a 13 year old.
But she opened her own clinic at 19 after working as a doctor for some years, and the viscount’s aide is 18, so I think this manhwa uses an old age system of masters/professors taking in disciples at younger age, and a 13 yr-old is already considered a capable young adult (like someone who is in their early stage of independence and probably only need a small amount of support… Definitely not seen as a learning kid).
