But she still failed as a mother, cuz her own child isn’t at fault at all for her misery, glad she acknowledgeds that and is trying to be better now
I did learn that that’s what happened with enough maids in the royal palace in Ancient China. It was dressed up as a honor to serve the imperial family, but a lot of them didn’t want to be there in the first place. Same with consorts, they probably just wanted to go home to their friends and family.
I agree @Changemyname – it really isn’t her fault for being literally kidnapped and forced to marry her kidnapper and bear a child for him, but it obviously wasn’t the child’s fault either. I’m glad that she’s realized that now and doing her best to repair that relationship for both his and her own sake.
