      Eclise is soon going to betray penelope after the og fl appears because she will brainwash him with black magic.. There is a lot of chaos from eclise’s side and as much i remember Eclise either dies at end of the story or goes missing..

    To understand this MANHWA please keep in mind that PENELOPE is always walking on thin ice. Just like how HARD it is for her to make the likeability to rise it’s also that EASY for it to drop and when it hit 0% she’ll DIE. Also keep in mind that there’s a time limit, PENELOPE needs to raise a TARGETS likeability ENOUGH NOT TO TURN HIS/THERE BACK ON HER BEFORE THE REAL DAUGHTER/PROTAGONIST COMES BACK. So try putting YOURSELF in her SHOES maybe you’ll UNDERSTAND her, even just a little bit.

    P.S I also like her being selfish. When my life is on the line I’ll be selfish to, that’s reality. ???

    This story was really interesting at first but I don’t really like the female lead anymore. Maybe I’m missing the point of the story. Maybe I’m supposed to read this like every one is just a soulless game character and not actual people. I read this with the thought that everyone is an actual sentient being with thoughts and feelings of their own. So when the female lead interacts with them she seems really callus and selfish. I know with her family she had a right to be that way but with Eclise it just seems like she’s kicking a suffering dog every time she talks to him. Then she just doesn’t seem to give a crap and still uses him despite how selfish it is. She has a lot of money, power and privilege and she doesn’t use any of it to help him out at all.

    she wants him to be independent but she really never gave him the chance to do that before deciding to remove his collar so he probably thinks that she’s trying to subtly get rid of him by releasing the one thing that links him to her, the collar.

    Coming from the novel, I have severe mixed feelings. Things… won’t end up well between them but he gets a lot hate when Penelope should shoulder that blame also. I know she’s trying to survive but it doesn’t change the fact that she’s been manipulating, lying, and using him all this while. Worst of all, he can sense it but still fell for her. I hate that he doesn’t get a happy ending of his own.

      At most, removing choker would give him dignity he doesn’t feel he has. He has no freedom or means as a slave, and as a fallen prince he has even less. The only thing he has is Penelope, and he’d rather stay a slave and have her than risk losing her and having nothing again.

      So i think the conclusion is eclish feel if penelope don’t release the choker she can both control him and fell sorry for him that make penelope dont abandom him so he like say “just use me and feel sorry for me,so dont abandomt me” i think
