Also, to all those people saying Penelope just giving up is kind of lame, think of it as depression. Someone with depression just gives up, and doesn’t want to live. That’s how Penelope is acting right now. She has given up on almost everything cause of the scars Eclis’s betrayal left on her heart, and the though that dead was coming for her any ways, so why not die on her own terms. Think of Penelope as an actual person. Would you give up on a good friend of yours’, or sibling, or anyone really, who’s suicidal? Strangers around the world help other strangers on the internet who don’t want to live anymore, and these commenters don’t even want to pray for a character. I get that she’s a character, written by someone, but if you can give up on c character like that, won’t you give up on someone you know who wants to die. If you can’t hope for a charater, you can’t hope for someone living, someone who has gone through so much STUFF. I think the author wrote this beautifully. Penelope, Cha Suyeon suffered on 2 lives. The fact that she’s kind of giving up shows how much “alive” she is, how much like us. After all this betrayal, WOULDM’T YOU WANT TO GIVE UP‽‽‽!!?‽
Why do I still read this? Penelope is no longer a “protagonist”. Even if she becomes such again, I’ve already lost interest.
I don’t find anything sympathetic or relatable in a protagonist who just stops trying to survive against the odds, that’s just disappointing. Maybe some people like her this way, but to me it’s just undermining every effort she made to reach this point and all that she achieved.
If she doesn’t care about her own survival, why should I as the reader?
At this point, I understand her completely, she wanted to die to end the cycle of the game. The one person that has been begging for her to stay alive so that he can take her away from the pitiful place isn’t even there… And the other guy who is saying she is his master is completely ignoring her and just obeying (brainwash)Yvonne, which is why she is getting triggered because she realized he’s only doing what benefits him.
I just hope that she’s able to keep the fragment away by her leaving the Dukes residence
Considering Callisto is basically her best ticket out of that family, if he dies, she really will might off herself in a way no one can prevent. Because there would be nothing left for her.

I could say Penelope should have told her to just end Yvonne, but it wouldn’t have worked anyway, since she could just brainwash him again.
Really, Penelope just needs to take action directly. But she won’t, which leaves her in this terrible quandry.
I would have liked for Eclis to have suffered more, or have redeemed himself by not getting brainwashed immediately, but oh well.
