I’d like to mention that everyone treated Penelope like sh*t even BEFORE the brainwashing and that brainwashing doesn’t come out of nowhere in this story. That’s why the most arrogant one, Derrick, is most affected bc he’s a stubborn prick with strong (and inaccurate) bias. Meaning everything he thinks is how he actually feels just distorted.
In comparison, everyone else but ESPECIALLY Callisto resists bc he simply loves and trusts Pen. There is no doubt, dislike or guilt to stir up.
