The OG Penelope is the current Penelope. She was a decentdent of a powerful mage, and she tried for many lifetimes to get rid of Yvonne (who is being possessed by a witch), but always died. Vinter would find out later than Yvonne was a witch, and to “make up” for his sins, he would reset time. Eventually because of dying so much, OG Penelope’s soul shattered and a bit of it was rencarnatied into the modern world, thus giving us the Penelope we all know and love. The video game was created as a way to bring the lost part of the soul back into their world.

BTW for those who are and have been Team Callistso, all the Yvonne X Callisto endings weren’t romantic at all, he just had a contract marriage with her because she promised him the throne (and would later kill him off)

This chapter… It gives me heartaches.The moment she said, “Why only now…” tugs at your heartstrings.But the most heartbreaking part is when she lamented, “Penelope, where have you gone? You, who resemble me so much. You never heard the words you longed to hear.” It makes your heart ache even more, knowing it’s already too late for her to come back to life, while our MC now inhabits her body.All she could say to her adopted father is, “It’s too late for that. Penelope is gone.”

Honestly a lot of people might bash at me idk. But if the fl ever forgives them and acts friendly with them I’m gonna be very pissed off. Especially because then the brothers and dad might think “penelope” forgave them. The empty void in the og Penelope’s heart was never filled with love because of the family’s harsh treatment. They need to realize what they have done. If it was me I would distance myself as much as I can with them. There is no apology accepted if the person you wanted to apologize to already died. The fl shouldn’t ever forgive them as that would be kind of like discarding the og Penelope’s pain and suffering.

Finally he talked to her and cleared stuff up. He was late, very late but he did it and damn it made me tear up a bit for the og Penelope (ik the novel but don’t wanna spoil) she had went through so much and was painted as the villain just because she wasn’t the real daughter. Just so that they could take their emotions out on her because they didn’t have anyone else to blame. It’s so unfair to Penelope that all those years she had to go through all the emotional abuse and no wonder she couldn’t take it. I just really feel bad for her right now :((
