Literally no one is saying this is okay? Everyone here knows slaves are bad and acknowledges that the FL is not pure or good. She manipulates people and only thinks of them as means to survival. So yes, none of those things she did are good. Your point? Am I supposed to hate her now or drop the work or what? I think it paints a morally grey yet still working FL, who is upset within reason that her precious survival plan went out the window. She is a bad person who does bad things for a certain reason. We all know and we read anyway. Your rant comes across the same like people who say you can’t enjoy shows with murder in it cuz murder is bad. Nobody here is saying that what she is doing is okay, so please stop preaching to us. We can still enjoy a morally grey character.
I’m sorry but like are we really supposed to support the fl having a slave, not really for any pure reasons, purely for her to survive the game, manipulate him into loving her and then we’re supposed to be mad when he pulls the United reverse card on her? Like this is not just any crazy obsessive second male lead we’re talking about. He is her SLAVE that she purposely has been manipulating, like sorry if I don’t feel bad that it didn’t go her way. I understand she needs to find a way to survive, but girl, have some morals. And I’m not saying I hate her or don’t support her but I can want her to succeed and still say I don’t think her actions were right and this method is wrong. Anyone who thinks that this wasn’t and isn’t wrong really needs to think a bit more deeply about it. Elvis doesn’t deserve this either, he should not be her “dog” simply bc she was a “nice” slave master. And don’t start talking to me about that’s just how it was back then. Eclis is insane, but honestly, I don’t sympathize with the FL in this chapter. To save herself, she literally uses others, and every action of hers is calculated. She doesn’t treat others as humans but as pawns. Everyone is calling Eclis a traitor, but she does the same; she uses others out of necessity, so she’s not so innocent. What angers me is not that she uses others, but that she feels justified while doing so and is shocked when someone does the same to her;unfortunately it seems these “pawns” have their own feelings, whether good or bad (as in Eclis’ case).
