This is the entire chapter summarised.
First part: Penelope ran into Derrick on her way to secretly meet up with Eckles (i think that’s his name) and she acted as Yvonne’s’ maid. Derrick is angry at how Yvonne was considered to be the proper Duke’s child when it hadn’t been confirmed.
Second Part: Penelope met with Eckles. I’m not too sure about what happened but Eckles will be made a commoner and Penelope might be accused of treason because of Eckles working with his home nation. Also, Penelope thought Eckles was acting for her when helping his own country but really he was doing it for himself.
