    The whole point for Normal Mode is to make the Targets to kill Penny without using Dark Magic directly against Penelope. It been hinted that in the present of evil magic, her power would awake. Brainwash her potential allies into murdering the Chosen Guardian without using magic directly against her. Later in the novel, when the Lelia attack her directly, Penelope’s power hit back.

    I really had high hopes that Vinter would be a better ML but seeing how he was willing use a child as bait for an experiment against Penelope, that made him lose a huge amount of likability points

    Is this her first failed quest? Seems like the main purpose was to expose her having magic. Would be nice if the notification also showed the negative outcomes for failing
