Bruh the emperor is a lunatic…and not the usual “scary looking but misunderstood and slandered poor big baby” sort of lunatic. He’s someone who will kill others the moment he gets bored of them and there’s no saying when that’ll happen with her.. anyone will have a nervous breakdown and go crazy if they got to live fearing for their life all the freakin time. so instead of living her life walking eggshells around him and either go crazy soon or get killed sooner, she’s planning on running away.
Let’s not also forget that she read the book saying that she can’t change her husband and the ending will stay the same no matter what she does…so I’d rather go back than die a horrible death
