Well that was FAST?! i mean I know it doesn’t have “Action” tag on it nut I expect that the hunt would last for 2-3 chaps at most wew .. too much for having expectations 😅 .. well if some says its a tragic story its more like a thriller or (censored) blood splatter type of genre and it came to me that when they put tragedy on the tags I usually expect one or both the MCs would die in the end 😅 but I guess its what I just usually seen on my other common reads so don’t mind me

I feel like this hunger games shit would’ve been more exciting or dramatic if the story’s atmosphere matched it. Because with the spoilers being how they are, you’d naturally assume it’d take place in a dystopian empire where you are either the hunter or the hunted, especially with an emperor who thinks people’s lives are meaningless.
It might get darker later, but from how this story has been progressing, everything feels too “colorful” or “tame”. Rather than tragedy, it looks more like a simple romance than anything.
And nobody really treats this human hunt thing as something serious and diabolical, but I suppose people in that era have watched public executions without blinking so there’s not much to say there.
But still, the world-building is just iffy to me. Like do people know he’s a psychopath? And if they do, how are they not rioting? I don’t know. I haven’t read the novel, and I’ve heard mixed reviews about it, so I guess we’ll see how it goes. 🤷♀️
