Spoiler ahead~ you’ve been warned! It’s a great story. Just read it and pay close attention to the character development. It’s quite fun to read with a brain although yea in some chapters the TL sucks!

Oh the horror… It actually turned into a horror manhwa and scared me more than those manhwas like wtf was that tragedy turn like it’s so crazy. Wild stuff, the story is so well written each character feels “real” obviously you might disagree with their choices but their underlying motivations are real. For Eden… He has a life in his world, he was rich and so he wants to escape and go back by any means necessary and he likes angie because that’s the only one that he’s been sharing the burden with in this world and he wants to help her when they both return to the real world. For our Angie, she originally just wanted survival, she had no say on what to do with her body… She doesn’t feel safe, she has to constantly play this game of cat and mouse with the crazy emperor and eventually she thinks that she loves her due to stalkholme syndrome and also because the emperor genuinely changed a part of himself so that angie wouldn’t fear him. But then there’s also the book, because she never feels safe even after that change because his interest is so fickle, she has no guarantee what that crazy psycopath would do and so she wants to return to her world. Then there’s the emperor with the curse who just wants slaugher and violence borne out of pure evil and the devil in his mind constantly pushing forth those ideas of violence and then there’s those moments with Angie that drown that out… But the betrayal, the shock, those words by Sylvia who was toyed with, who was thought to be the next empress, and studied her whole life for that, completely replaced by his fickle interest and now a maid to Angie, she was made to kill her own family to survive such a cruel emperor and now those true striking words that lands to his core about those lies about Angie’s love being a lie… He has to accept it… He hates himself, he doesn’t want Angie to fear him. But the damage has already been done. And then there’s our saintess the character that seems to be the center of it all, the lover of Eden who so desperately hates her, and hearing that he exiled himself from the Church by confessing he loves the saintess even though there was not a shred of love that means he completely and utterly rejected the notion of love with her and used that to be exiled, how frustrating must that feel? someone who you love so dearly throwing away your love like that, that’s like saying they’d rather be killed than love you… Like the case with Angie where she absolutely fears him and just tells him to kill her. Such a crazy tragic story… And then in the chapters we’re told this is all god’s game and all happened due to the war of the gods… How can you possibly not blame them? Such a tragic well written story… The arcs and ofcourse let’s not forget the personal maid, she who followed her to the empire and unconditionally trusted her and was willing to give her life away, she had been treated like her sister ever since childhood and even though she has been lied to by Angie even though the betrayal was there that was her choice, she chose to believe and she trusts her because that’s how much she truly cares for her well being. And upon hearing this the emperor just breaks down because he could forgive her… But not trust her again but those twisted words, those fears, the self hatred, the devilish intrusive thoughts and ofcourse his true love… those things muddles his mind in chaos. And now this is a rundown summary of all I remember from the story, I’m obviously missing and skipping over a lot of details but if this little spoiler intrigued you then go read it. It’s a masterpiece! You may disagree with their choices but they are realistic and quite human. Don’t act like you’d have made significantly better choices under those same circumstances with the same knowledge and mental state.

Read up till chp 36 and loved it, but I feel that the angst will start soon so I’m dropping it now 🫡 my weak heart can’t handle what’s gonna come soon… (I read the spoilers, the tragedy tag is spot on).

FL is on survivor mode always (but she’s slowly relaxing and catching feelings cuz ML is changing), she’s super strong and resilient. ML is a true tyrant (no fluffy boy that sometimes gets a tantrum, he’s a proper villain and I love it how appropriately he was written). You can see, and believe, how he’s slowly changing cuz of FL, but the madness is still there, just somewhat tamed, kinda…
.
That change was sweet to read, so now I’m gonna pretend story is over and they lived happily ever after ❤️ 😂 I had fun with what I read, it’s enough for me
