Let me say if the author plans for the husband to be the male lead and eventually ends up with the female lead with all misunderstandings cleared, I’m going to be pissed. Because I don’t care if he can’t properly communicate and that he is actually in love with her. He literally had a gaunt wife in bed who then died, and even if he secretly loved her the whole time, that doesn’t mean that what he did was ok. There better be a different male lead that isn’t the husband. I am begging for it to be different. Because there is no self-respecting woman that would be ok with how he treated her for years, all because he actually secretly loved her the entire time. He is a grown man, and if he can’t hold his sh!t together, he doesn’t deserve her. As a woman, I feel it would be a disservice to have the husband be the male lead/ love interest of the female lead.
