The stoic shiva and the motherly goddess fell in love.
But, as both are quite opposite they continued to debate on whether worldly things are necessary or not . mother Goddess said to continue the function of the world both the ascetic quality and the worldly desires are necessary . Shiva asked to proof her..
She simply disappeared, after her disappearance the world fell into chaos people loses strength and slowly started the food ended everywhere it was dark and grim and dead..

Then the Goddess came in Annapurna avatar . Annapurna means who gives the blessing of food and happiness..
She served meals to the people and shiva took avatar of a beggar and asked for a bowl .

The goddess was happy.
And they stayed forever in the hills of Annapurna ,in the form of a beggar and the goddess Annapurna..
There people believes that if newlywed couples visit the hills and asks for a happy fulfilling married life it comes true..
