That kid has way too much wisdom under his belt, I would have been suspicious of that kid long ago. He has the battle knowledge of somebody who already experienced real war, like how could his father not suspect he’s more than just a child
Well, he did wish for his first son to follow his passion. Doesnt that make him a decent dad at the very least. It’s possible that he’s just not interfering at the way his wives are educating their children to be fair with his children (so it wont look like he’s favoring anyone)
