1- she herself isn’t clear y Duke was killed and y she was targeted either
from that alone should be clear

She can honestly over throw everyone if she join forces with the duke..
She acts as if the duke made her past life miserable, for someone that loved the duke a lot and drove the duke to his death her actions are like “I never loved that man so whatever am not marrying him”…

For some reason I don’t like the duke?? Like the only reason he liked her was because of her looks which is just really shallow just like how the mum expected?? I dont know tho, just slightly frustrated with him being slightly pushy about meeting her
I feel like he was just saying that because he couldn’t/wouldn’t say the real reason. It was used to contrast with “he’s ugly” which we know aren’t the princess’ true thoughts. You don’t struggle to convey a dying message to a woman because she’s pretty. Or eat something you don’t like because she’s beautiful.
Okay, to make it clear. Based on the novel both of them regressed. The duke doesnt like her just because she is pretty. He’s trying to investigate what is his connection to her because he have bits of memory about her from the past. On the other hand, the princess remembers everything.
