I totally get her anger here. He won’t/ can’t go, but won’t let her go either. He says he isn’t her servant but they don’t have any. It’s unreasonable to ask her to wait for more then 2 months to get her reply, especially because it seems his only real reason is wanting to avoid going into town as much as he can

If he isn’t planning on hiring a maid that’s the only option there is now isn’t it.(I refuse to believe a known royal, however illegitimate he is, is dirt poor and couldn’t afford a single house help). Expecting a noble lady to match his living standards from the get go is ridiculous. He doesn’t let her bring a maid, doesn’t let her leave the house or let her go get her mail. There may be reasons but if you don’t talk to her she won’t get it! Moreover, she doesn’t know anyone here(oh wait there ain’t anyone within miles of his house because he won’t hire anyone! And to be very honest if I’m 5’2 and built like a stick I too will be scared and defensive if a 6’4 built like a bear man who I don’t know very well raised his voice at me when we’re alone together confined in a house in the middle of freakin no where!!!

He cooks for her, takes care of the chores without asking her to lift a finger, gives her her own space and freedom within the house and only snaps at her when she’s being a brat or directly disrespecting him. He’s royalty, albeit illegitimate, but she’s ordering him around like a common servant. Still he’s making sure she’s taken care of despite her verbal abuse.
Why exactly is he supposed to empathize towards a woman who clearly looks down on him, his way of living, and his hard work? Who spits in the face of every act of kindness he shows towards her and treats his favours towards her as a given?
Ask her to empathize with him for a change, yeah? He was fine living quietly and peacefully in the countryside, and now he has to work even harder to feed twice as many mouths. He’s stuck with her

yes she was raised like that but she’s not the only noble she choose to overindulge in all those luxuries and now she lost her braincells, the fact she still have hope that her father will help her sigh, I’m sure there were others with similar facilities as her but would’ve turned as better people & as for ML how come u call him asshole when she is being one? do you want him to pamper her, why should he? despite her shitty behavior regardless of whatever reasons? he would’ve just let her be, let her starve & much more you have so much sympathy for this spoilt brat but ML is asshole? he is illegitimate & was treated super badly by that ex fiancé Philip ML could’ve also turned out a real asshole with all that abuse & would’ve walked on the path of revenge or whatever but ML here is very reasonable he ain’t the one starting any shit he tries to get along, is calm but she is one hella bratty here & she made herself that way, not like everyone will turn bratty if they receive princess like treatment, I bet CP is not bratty or ungrateful like her.
