I think she was more of her real self with Blaine than with Van. I think with Van there are more secrets. So sad for Blaine in the 2nd timeline. It must jave hurt to lose his love to Van. This time Van knew he had to be quick to win FL’s heart before Blaine got to her. She accepted Van a lot quicker than Blaine, though. Mostly, because it took her awhile to see if she could trust Blaine or not. He is a sly fox, so she was always worried about that. It took months for Blaine to show he truly loved her. Bit with Van, FL knows he’s an innocent and justice kind of guy, so she could see how much he loved her. I always felt she wanted Van, but in the 1st timeline Van wasn’t assertive and confident to chase and follow his heart to win the FL. By the time he figured out his heart and love for FL, it was already too late to win her heart. How heartbreaking that scene was and the wedding day. In the 2nd timeline, I could really sense and see his urgency to love the FL. In a way, she ended up with them both but just in separate timelines. I wonder if that also meant Blaine lived heartbroken and single for the rest of his days in the 2nd timeline. Either way, I enjoyed both.
She will end up with Blain in the end because Van just doesn’t have it in him to love the evil side of Verta. She can’t be her true self with Van. They’ll probably be married for like 5 years and then she’ll divorce him…
Ngl didn’t bother with the side story ad I don’t think brand is the one for her but loved the story a truly evil protagonist only doing things for her own benefit really
