That’s why the father didn’t stop her from leaving since it’s best for her health. He can’t chase her because of the contract but he did his part by sending someone to protect them from a far. Seeing as he never met any other woman nor had another child to someone proved how much she love his wife and her only daughter. He’s one of the best father in manhua. I rate this story second best on Your Throne of Medea Solon. This is is really amazing.
Charaneck, the mother did what she had to do. She did her best to protect her child against a man who had the potential and the power to hurt her child. Terranyl’s mom did a FAR better job than Cesio’s. Terranyl’s mom was willing to leave the man she loved most dearly because there was a chance he could hurt her baby. Cesio’s mom ran away like a dog with its tail between its legs and let her son be crippled just because her sister didn’t want her to have a kid. Terranyl’s mom was brave and strong and wasn’t willing to let her child become a victim. Sure, in retrospect it could’ve been better if she stayed, but if the Duke really didn’t want a child it would’ve been much much worse. Plus, she has a weak body and who knows how much worse her health would be now if she stayed in the north for the past 20 years?
