Why is no one talking about how evil and controlling was of Cassio to invade the FL’s memory to remove the betrayal of her boyfriend and his own confession just because of his cowardice and fear she won’t visit anymore… and he was an adult back then so really no excuse for inability to face to the situation AND TALK to her. He could’ve taken her offer of friendship to continue meeting up with her but nope, be removed her memories. Also, he completely destroyed the Marchioness’s mind by messing up her memories. In the end she spent her life with a messed up brain because of him. One moment protecting him one moment hating him, unable to account for weird dreams that seemed like reality but couldn’t have been… how many years she lived like that and he watched her living in the same house… he’s a real villain in her life.
