@MiscMech, I am afraid that you are interpreting this story in a bit too negative way.
First of all, these children live with this young master and they watch him grow up since he was born! They are already like siblings and playmates.
Would you say to real siblings/ friends aged under 10 that they should not “revolve around” their playmates?
They basically grow up and share the same childhood together in the same house!
Secondly, even if they are not around the young lord, they won’t have the “childhood” you talked about.
Don’t forget that they are poor orphans with no parents.
They were neglected by the og sister all their lives so far.

I really hope her siblings aren’t shoehorned into lives that revolve around the little lord. like, let them be kids. Let them have childhoods. like, if her brother’s ambition is to be a knight that protects Brielle… IDK these kind of stories sometimes forget that side-characters are actual characters
