This is all what my dad used to say, but now he’s always so scared of me in the house and also I know about his affair , my body has stored trauma and I still go into freeze mode, I get panic attack, I wake up with stress the next morning whenever I hear him yelling and arguing in the house even though I’m not involved in it.

As such, if she wants to stay in power, it’d be more profitable to be in a position of trust with her brothers rather than our Ruby who’s typical only use would be to marry off to some other family. Even then, a Ruby who’s quiet and easy to boss around would be more useful to her than a confident Ruby who grew up being loved.
I wonder why the step-grandmother was nice only to the two brothers and not her. Because she has nothing to gain from raising Rubetria right? She could have if she raised the child right. So weird.
