I think it would be to easy if ,,Uncle” and Queen are the culprits, in other hand them and the duke can both be culprits, but independent of each other, there is also no hearing about step siblings or the Uncle kids. Hmm the uncle was 3rd in line, and duke 4th, Edward father was the king so first in line, so mayby there is someone more, it is not specified if uncle and the duke were 3rd and 4th before Edward father become a king or they cecome 3rd and 4th after Edward was born. One possibility is that Uncle married his mother to protect them both and now this distincive ,,something is off” expression on his face is due the fact that he will try to check if Kitty is good enough as a fiance of Edward or on other hand mayby he had fiancee for Edward already in mind. I see aloso other option – We seen Edward Father mostly armored in from life scenes, and uncle is mentioned as skilled diplomat so mayby he didnt prevent late king death or even has a part in it, bc for example late king was warmonger (this is only guess) but in same time he do care about his nephew and thats why his father ghost said to ,,forgive”, this could be also directed to his mother in case that uncle really is a bad guy, and he did force his mother to remarry to him under a threat. About the duke we dont know much, only that he is quite young by the picture, and he was the one to force Edward out from capitol, but this could be all the same for make him vunerable or to pull him away from danger.
To think that eddie doesn’t have any life left is very scary uhhhg .. its like a game damn it. But “what if” there were a tragic event that eddie died and to save him kit risk her life again (how many regression does she have?) and it was also her last but eddie forgot all about her and he’s regressions …. damn I can’t imagine whats next and its so dramatic and saddening to imagine
