I have a hunch, surely the deaths of eddie is like a curse and what I’ve noticed based on the book that “what if” in order to break it and set the dead king free is for eddie to let go of his past or “his father” and like arthur in the book says “you must live and be happy”. And thats the key to eddies loop. I mean its most obvious choice but because he can’t let go the cycle repeats. Kit on the other hand was also the key and probably a miracle that the late king had reached out to save his son. Well there so many possibilities that might happened so I’m thrilled to know the reasons behind their regression
They BOTH were very crafty to be more precise!
Its as if the butler is the head of the assassins guild which also serves as the information guild.
Hes been tasked to watch his every move and whoever he interacts with, and probably report to the king.
The king is most certainly the one who doesn’t want Edwin alive.
And I’m guessing his mother has actually sacrificed herself so that his uncle the current king wouldn’t go after him.
And thats why Edwin’s father wants him to ‘forgive’! Its to forgive his mother who has made a great sacrifice to protect him.
Its OBVIOUS that his father has been assassinated by his younger brother the current king as well.
They all want to protect him, yet he has been left all alone in the dark.

And someone like Richard has been planted right beside him to ensure HE GETS CLOSE TO NO ONE!!
Did Richard get Lonnie has feelings for Kit? And deliberately talked about her being INVITED to the prince’s place and them being close to add fuel to the fire?
It sure felt like that.
And Lonnie asking her to wear the dress and the brooch, smells as fishy as a trap he is setting up in order to get her no matter what. I’m sure he is trying to SHOW this OTHER people, so that she couldn’t reject him anymore or something like that.
Its true only if he really is in love with her. However, if he has other ulterior motives then it could really nasty with very high risk factor.
Edwin and Kit are basically ALL ALONE! And the world is standing in front of them.
Poor father of his…he cannot rest until he is saved completely…and I guess that wont be possible as long as his uncle the current king is alive.
