I think I know why many authors made the mother die first. It’s because they want to let readers to imagine themselves being fl’s stepmom. Yeah, that’s to attract readers to read the manhwa 🤔

That’s not entirely true. Sometimes the mom is the evil one but more than often I see evil fathers either using or abusing their kids and the mom is the kind one but she’s usually always depressed, dying, or dead. So ya, we need more alive mothers😅

I have to agree to other comments. Why do they always kill off the mother. I love doting father’s and brothers but what’s wrong with having the mother around to be loving as well. Maybe it somehow takes away from the kinda male family harem thing they are trying to create because it’s always doting brothers as well. I was kinda hoping that the mother wasn’t dead but oh well.
I don’t understand. He was described as a man who resented his daughter for “killing” his dead wife, so how did he change so fast?
Rather than daddy issues, I just think the authors have mommy issues because they are ALWAYS dead, like literally in every regression manhwa ever.
It’s seems lot of those authors have daddy issues, and don’t ask me “who doesn’t” cuz I don’t and I do want to read story with both parents or just mother who actually love their kids, it’s impossible tho cuz every woman in those stories is wicked for some reason
