I think you are right in general but honestly if I was in the place of the prince I’d wonder as well. I know thing are done differently in this universe but wouldn’t you be worried that someone is taking advantage of your friend if they acted as suddenly as Kyuro. We have Marie’s POV so we know she isn’t like that but in their society it is much more likely to be an act to gain power the the person’s actual personality.
