I think you guys are missing the point. Yes Damien made Chloe sad enough to fake her death and you can’t just gloss over all that. He framed her for murder and then appeared like a knight in shining armour, was a manipulative asshole to chloe and lets talk about her pregnancy. Sure he’d want to save Chloe but he also knew how much it meant to her and what’d he do? almost rape her before imprisoning her leaving her to lose her mind with grief. Did he comfort her at all? no. Yes people might need space after a loss but the only reason he gave her this “space” was because he got called away.
You can’t just give him half a redeeming point and say all his other actions are excused. Did he deserve this? Maybe not but Chloe deserved her freedom. Freedom that our ML here won’t give her

Every Green Flag ML in Manwhas always choose the wife before the child so what Damien did was the same thing. Everything was going so well so it’s just confusing to understand that faking her death was necessary?
