Chloe should have approached this problem differently. She’s only a week in and already trying to amend the systems of this Planck… of course people will have bitter feelings about her. She should have waited to find a perfect opportunity catching Eliza red handed infront of others… or waited for damien to come and discuss it with him. Cuz no matter how toxic he is, I think he wouldn’t overlook this problem.
@broubrou, the motger in law is not being a bitch. Ofc she trusts her long life supposed to be loyal servants than her newly appointed daughter in law. Even if there are evidences to support chloe’s claim, there are some sentimental attachments towards the servants. So she needs to properly absorb the situation. It is quite realistic actually, showing the readers that chloe doesnt have an absolute say/power in every situation unlike the other fmls who get every character whipped for them in the first meeting. PLUS the mil said she will be discussing it to his son, meaning shes considering ang weighing things. She did not torment her or anything, she just refused to eat with her.
the mother is a fucking bitch, our FL is doing the job she should have done and dare to fucking complain even tho she did everything right. for the duke himself I am PRAYING for him to suffer when he’ll realise he’s unlovable to the person he’s longing for, I’d be saying to him that I believe a divorce should take place sooner than later because i hate his guts and his mother’s guts and if divorce is not an option I’d just run away like her sister did, I would also refuse any physical contact whatsoever or at least show my disgust. mother and son from fucking hell, no thanks.
