I know most people see alice as a selfish brat but try to see things from her perspective. How hard it must be to see her sister apologize for being a cripple. She must have feeling guilty for wanting her own happiness. If alice was the protagonist of this manhwa, ppl might have root for her to pursue her happiness. Her being miserable with the pressure of saving her family, potentially losing her beloved and carrying an illegitimate child on her belly while still trying to stay and salvage her family— she will be pitied. The Duke is such an ass for draggung alice in his games. The girl is confused as it is- yet he provoked her more by proposing.

Not saying Alice should subject herself to a loveless marriage but, there were better ways she could’ve gone about this then being irresponsible and putting herself and her family in a precarious situation. Pretty sure Eddy doesn’t love her and is only after her ASSets coz he’s a passing traveler; let’s hope that’s not the case but, the way he was trying to keep going at it despite being caught at the Duke’s house, I think that’s highly unlikely.
