I was honestly expecting more from this scene, in the novel Deborah was waaaaaay harsher with the nanny, the b*tch even had the audacity to deny what she said and say that the the Duke will take her side and wouldn’t believe Deborah, the importance of her family and what not but she revealed that she actually recorded her so she decided to kick her out, but her reproach her that she had no authority to do that since the duke was absent on a business trip but she as the princess of Seymour had the authority to do so. Her father congratulated her for the way she handled everything and decided to take the first step into improving his relationship with Enrique

I mean deserved and to some, satisfactory, but I’d have at least turned her around while holding her hair to slap the shit out of her while casting vicious mockery before dragging that hag’s old ass outside to toss her into the rain out of the annex where she belongs 😤.

She’s such a refreshing character 😌 I’m trying to read “I think I made a mistake in getting married” and I’m just not getting into it, the fl is just incompetently passive. I’ve read about great passive leads before, but somethings missing from that story. Deborah for the win!
If I remembered it correctly, in the novel she grab her hair and drag her outside. And it was more satisfying, but I think I understand if they don’t show it, it’s too violent. But still more satisfying.
