@Lianna00 I think from in the beginning sirens can’t talk to people regularly because even their voice can drive someone crazy like in the beginning with her father the only reason why her father didn’t get driven to his madness was because he had a mermaid tear earrings which prevents him from going crazy and that’s probably another reason why her mother told her to never speak before before she died
