Well she’s not completely naive. She knows she has not other option. She can’t go back home because then she’ll have to marry….whatever his name is, and there’s is basically a price on the princess head, she won’t be welcome back either.
Living out in a village or the middle of nowhere is not an option either. The princess is definitely not used that lifestyle, and anybody could recognize her and report her because of her red hair. She sticks out like a sore thumb.
Honestly, getting married is the best option she has.
And year, I get it, he is the person that killed her in the past. But she’s always been more concerned with being involved with war than dealing with ML himself. It’s pretty much a mixed bag.
For someone so perceptive and always on her guard, I find it absurd that she had zero reaction to the lack of possibility of divorce (even though it probably wasn’t serious). For someone who is living their second life, in my opinion it would have been more sensible for her to see it as a big red flag, especially when she knows the previous version of the ML. Apparently it doesn’t bother her that much to rush into a “prison” (even if in itself, I know that the ML would let her go if she wanted, but it’s on principle!)
Yeah it seems it’s all connected. Look at how it rains when they are together (and how he feels parched and dry like the lands when apart). They are connected to the land and to each other deeply it seems.
