@miscmech except that the witch hunt, based on the nannys story, couldve been years ago… while the emperor whos estimated have been 200 yrs old only established the agricultural day 50 years ago (which would kinda hint he started getting sick 50 years ago if i am to speculate) plus as you can read from the last chapter, they have pope turn overs which means different pope, different platforms.. 🤷🏻♂️ agricultural day probably an exception to the mandate

But the temple held a literal with hunt? And still persecutes people for making medicine?
Like, during the witch hunt, wtf was going on in the agricultural festival? Did the temple arrest all the participants? Likewise wht happens if someone does give the emperor a potion he likes? In the eyes of the temple, and the law, they’re a criminal.
