These female leads are patient as hell, I’d create a tsunami and watch them drown as I ride on top of it.
Here’s my revenge plan:
Step 1.) Reveal abilities when the kingdom is at its lowest
Step 2.) Get on the emperor’s good side.
Step 3.) Make them believe you are kind and that you are here to help them.
Step 4.) Gather trust
Step 5.) Secretly gain allies to help your rebellion.
Step 6.) Squash them when they think they have you on a hook.
I just want her to hurry up and show them her powers, so they can feel the pain she felt as she soaks them dry.
What’s funny is the church said the gypsy brought this drought on the land for sleeping with the king and getting pregnant but if the idiot king had just married her and took responsibly they’d all be fine right now. It feels like they were being tested and they failed miserably. Especially since not only is the hated child they desperately need their only hope but a water spirit that’s supposed to be used to save the land came to her and told her about revenge. It could have told her to reveal herself and save everyone but instead its like since they failed and continue to be so misguided and hateful they all will suffer and maybe die?
That’s exactly the irony is, even historically, in real world the church just pulling words out of their asses. Remember the holy grail, Jerusalem, witch hunt, even the royal family (royalty used to have the support of the church, so that they can say the royalty was chosen by god)
