And it’s perfectly cogent as to why people would think that since everyone in the palace knows well that the princess hasn’t been getting the proper treatment. So just because WE know that Aqua has be edifying the princess doesn’t mean THEY do.
To be fair she is right would anyone believe a maid that “the girl living in the attic her entire life yea she is actually incredibly smart despite never being allowed to read or be taught anything.”
Aqua taught her everything. If not for aqua, she will a total idiot unaware what is happening to her rn. Tho she’s not emotionally mature due to the lack of her interaction with others.
