I never hated amaryllis till she planned killing ashtarte but fr i feel like she is a character easily wiped out dawg… I’d never want truck kun hit me to be possessed in amaryllis’ body 😭😭😭
Amaryllis is such a wasted character, ofc, she’s unlikable, but everything about her story was pointless, she was very literally a pawn of the high priest, barely even that. The little glimpses we see of her when she has her existential crisis of believing her brothers and father would come save her is sad, and honestly, she could’ve been interesting regardless of which route she took, properly using her brain to kill Ashtarte in an attempt to become “real”, or revealing everything and trying to hide somewhere to live, and in the process becoming genuinely family with everyone as per many villainess stories. But from birth to death she existed just to bolster the existence of the true chosen one, in life as the false light to make her suffer, and in death to be reviled as the unholy creature that made the gods beloved star suffer. Despite her being in all honesty, a bitch™️, it’s quite sad that, that’s all her entire existence amounted to. She would be a far more rounded and interesting character if she literally just had more braincells, or at least if the so-called loving brothers and father actually looked into her upbringing too. Whether or not she still died, it would’ve been much more interesting. Like this, she was just the fake daughter who had a little bit of suffering quietly on her own, but never lived at all. She was little more than a doll being played by the high priest. It’s just so sad and such a waste. Like, if you’re gonna defy the gods and bring something to life, make it live bro, even Dr. Frankenstein taught his creature some shit.
Wasn’t it said that her body was drained of blood? Didn’t it raise suspicions? “How did she bleed out so quickly”, or something? Of course it was the high priest who took all of her nlood out, cause it’s green, and since she isn’t a real human, he can probably put it all back in later on. To be honest, I’m shocked by how HARD it is to get rid of one motherfucker in this world. There were so many reasons that could be used, so many suspicions, and no one did anything to get rid of him!
