Unpopular opinion: I do not feel like this was poorly written. In Ashtarte’s mind, she likely wouldn’t think Amaryllis would be so bold as to poison her at a tea party she invited her to with multiple people knowing she’s there; however, Amaryllis has lost her mind after finding out she wasn’t a human, nor a true member of the family. Yes, it makes no sense for Amaryllis to poison her as she would be the first suspect, but that is the point. This shows just how much her mind has deteriorated and that the only thing she has in mind is getting rid of Ashtarte for good so that she can keep her life the way it always has been.
Not many people know of homunculi so seeing green blood doesnt really flip that switch in their brain for that, they probably would immediately think its some poison or something. And she already knew that her blood was green, thats how she found out she herself was a homunculus
