As someone who has a bad father, I like this story. At the end of the day I choose to believe in people. At least she has a father who is willing to try, one who recognizes he’s done wrong. And maybe it is impossible to mend something like this…. And I can understand the need to have someone to hate. But…. At the end of the day, I still have faith that with time and effort people can change. Relationships can change. Because being human means being paradoxically, and being human means being able to change.
But the prophecy *isn’t* faked. It’s just misinterpreted.
There *are* two princesses, one of dark and one of light. The prophecy doesn’t say which is which.
The darkness *will* swallow the light, but that is only future tense from when the prophecy was given. In the current timeline it refers to a past event where the illegitimate princess swallows the rightful place of the legitimate princess.
The only remaining part of that prophecy is that the empire will face disaster. And the second prophecy where the emperor kills Ashtarte. Given that Ashtarte being pissed causes magical storms…
