   I thought I was going to hate this because everyone said the FL was dumb. BUT over the chapters she slowly grows a backbone and the ML seems to become less stupid too. I’m liking the growth and change I’m seeing in the story, and the art is great!

   I can only agree with what many others have said here – basically everyone in this story is an idiot, most often by their own choice. The art is nice though. I for my part really love this drawing style, although the coloring is dark and a bit dull. I’m still hanging on basically only because I enjoy the art.
   The female lead is a timid fawn and thick as a brick, extremely oblivious about the evil intentions of certain people close to her, plus she’s completely unable to speak up for herself.
   It’s nice how she does manual work for her younger siblings and sucessfully refuses to sell her body. However, I don’t get why she simply ignores the rumors about her sleeping around and doesn’t clear up misunderstandings forever.
   Her father is even more brainless though, he knows he can’t feed his kids, but still doesn’t allow them or himself to do “lowly” work, he rather decides to get scammed and lied to by his own family – repeatedly!
   The male lead soon realizes that things are different from the rumors, but he still insists on distrusting the female lead for no apparent reason, which is obviously the “arrogance” that the title mentiones. He even keeps up his distrust after uncovering the schemes of the girl who was behind all the slandering of the female lead…
   Besides, it would be easy for the male lead to avoid the “forced” marriage with the female lead if he really didn’t want it, but now and then he remembers good old times back when he still liked her… Even though he had a childhood betrothed, which we learn only a little later *cough*
   No idea where this story will go, but since the word “regret” is in the title, maybe they will divorce and he will then try to win her back or something? It might really turn out like “My Husband and I Cannot Live in the Same World”, but the male lead of “Arrogant Regret” is not that horrible, selfish and unhinged (well, at least not yet) for this to happen… To me it seems like the main couple will either stick together or divorce only to remarry again later.
   It’s a very shallow story so far, but the good thing about it is the lack of angst, deadly threats, mentally crippling childhood traumas or bloody massacres.
   I don’t see lots of similarities with “Betrayal of Dignity” (mainly because of the very different personalities of all the main characters) – maybe because I have read so many romance fantasy manhwas already that I have come to realize that nearly all of them just consist of dozens of typical tropes for most parts.

   Characters in this manhwa are desperately trying to copy the “betrayal of dignity” but lack charisma and originality.

   Awful plot. Naive, stupid, pathetic FML. Her father is just as brain dead. ML thinks the worst of her and Even he knows how gullible she can be. If there were ever another character who was dumb, blind and deaf, that character would have more sense than the FML.

   I’m at chap 15. Cousin Julia is terrible. Duke seems to defend Stella and not falling for Julia’s schemes.

   Stella is still as pathetic as they come, but it might not be a bad read.

   Expect the cliche plot. Would be nice if they inject something different though.

    Like? at least shouldn’t you go up against someone of your size? how hard is it to overpower a naive, poor and trapped person? when there is such power imbalance?

Someone who is bold, someone who is upront that she enjoys sex? always this pattern that virgins are glorified and are somewhat more desirable blah blah blah and the ones they gets seduced by is shamed, here FL isn’t even bold it’s the rumors but bastard keep accusing of a thing or 2…..

    FL – quite expressive, naive, have crush on the wrong guy, blushes so damned hard when it comes to him, is stupid when it comes to him a bit delulu as well, your usuall FL in sad and bad situation, trash father, little sibblings, role of sole bread earned and other responsibilties lies on her shoulder, Idk I can’t seem to like her that much, she’s very naive especially her reactions regarding ML I’m not fond of her getting optimistic despite him calling her worthless…

    ML – stupid, dumb, pathetic, a foolish manchild, underwhelming and repulsive his personality is meh sole backbone -> looks, status, influence -> that are enough to make him all haughty, he is just a boy and have lustful tendecies towards FL, he is delusional and lies to himself but actually desires her body and is charmed by her, his investigation team is shit just like him, idk with such small brain how he managed to maintain the family but oh yeaa all NPCs are dumb so ofc no wonder……

    In short FL is delsuional and stupid ML is just a loser, one of those typical manhwas that do best to glorify such losers, make em win in life etc etc like all role models r ded…. we have like 1000s of manhwas with such leads.
