   This story is a perfect example as to why most commoner x nobility pairings suck. It always translates as one party having way too much power over the other and it’s often not treated as a serious issue. Like, no matter how cutesy they make ML act by blushing or being bare minimum nice and buying her stuff (which shouldn’t even be that big of a deal, FL comes from a rich family despite being a commoner) it can never erase the fact that he’s the one that trapped FL in a marriage she didn’t want (and make it painfully clear she did not want it) nor had any knowledge about the terms of the deal ML made with her father (whom basically sold her daughter off for political power and a title). Due to the fact she’s a commoner, she cannot refuse, simple as that; but to make matters worse her father actually agreed to it in her stead without consultation. She has no choice, no autonomy.
   .
   Even if the author tries to justify ML by (surprise surprise) pulling a “but he has a dark past!” and is seeking revenge over it, it doesn’t erase the fact that he’s forcing her into a marriage to use her as he pleases. But of course, who cares about the FL, right? He’s handsome and cutesy, and actually a good fellow somehow! She should be grateful he’s using her however he likes!
   .
   What’s worse is that FL – the reason while I persisted on this – is actually great. I love her personality, she’s daring, she’s shameless, she’s a bit whacky, she’s so expressive and full of life. And she’s destined to fall in love with the man that trapped her. Damn.
   .
   (Btw I’m baffled people don’t feel the same way. “The couple is so cute”, like??? Can’t y’all smell the stench on him? It stinks badly. Iit’s hard to ignore.)

   Art 10/10 Storyline 9/10 (it has some really good thoughts about marriage and sacrifice in there, I like depth in my fluff so that’s why it’s a high rating) and translation. Is 8/10
   The couple is so cute. It would be hard to find a cuter couple. There is quite a bit of comedy in the earlier chapters, not that it fades later on, but as any professional reader knows, by chapter 30, plots are thickening. I’m looking forward to seeing where this will go, and anticipating many wonderful rereads! The fl is so hilarious, and also a girl boss in a feminine way. It’s not like she muscles into things, she’s definitely not in complete control of the situation either, but she uses the people and environment in such a way as to get what she wants in a girlboss way but with courtly characteristics.
   The ml BLUSHES a ton, which is always welcome in stories, and the chapters from his pov are really revealing not only of his thoughts and feelings, but the story on the whole benefits from it.
   All in all, a pretty good read so far! You guys can look forward to hating at least two trash characters, and rooting for many more!

   Also, forgot to add, setting is indeed the most cliche ever, read this hundreds of times, but it’s so well written that it feels fresh. Plus, their flirting and banter is probably the best I’ve read so far, so don’t focus on the cliche, read for the actual content, is super worth only sleeping ~4h today cuz I read this till 2.30am xD

   I love it ,
   It was Worthing every moment of reading it ,the fl is funny and smart knows how to work her ways out .
   The ml not so cold duke but actually a decent human being with emotions and justified actions ,even though the marriage between them two was beneficial he refused to force her and tried to justify his reasons and even step aside form marriage just for her comfort.
   The relationship between them is funny and full of comedy,if anyone wants to have a laugh just go ahead .

   It’s such a good story, yes sometimes FL does dumb things and she doesn’t say what she means but so does the ML. ML is a good green flag though. It’s such a good read.

    Mid generic story. What’s up with the glazers?? “FL is a good communicator” she didn’t say “I don’t want to marry you” once in like 5 chapters. Annoying as hell. “Distinctive character design” it’s white blonde girl with blue eyes and white black hair guy with red eyes, I can’t say their personalities are more charming than their looks.

    Funny female lead who is smart, confident, beautiful, and a good communicator ✅
    Hot male lead who respects the fml and starts yearning for her subtly after discovering her honest charms ✅
    Beautiful art style and distinctive character designs ✅

    Overall, I’m really excited for where this one goes! It just goes to show how good writing can transform even the most basic tropes that we’ve seen a million times (black hair villain, transmigrator side character who was originally going to die, bullying at a tea party, etc.) and make it super fun and compelling to read.

    You know what, I love the fact that there are panels where they are just laughing together and goofing off. It shows us that they are indeed getting closer, so when one eventually falls for the other it won’t just come out of nowhere. (At least in the early chapters)
