I think one of the big things that the author is emphasizing is that Angela is still a master manipulator and an opportunist.
She knows she’s pretty and she knows the right words to try and make other people think she’s in the right. The characters in the manhwa can’t see the evil faces we as the readers can see. They just see an agitated and overworked “kind hearted” girl upset that all her “efforts” are in vain.
Dane has obviously grown up in environment where he’s familiar with these tactics which is why he’s not susceptible to Angela’s charm.
Wait… this is legit bothering me. Why hasn’t anyone but Dane called Angela out for her behavior? Even IF she stayed up all night making medicine (which I highly doubt since Jayna had to make more), someone should call her out on the way she straight up is yelling at her. And no one could say she is using the love potion now because she ran out, didn’t she? This blindness to her faults from Zera isn’t just frustrating it’s infuriating. It has been plain as day that Angela isn’t the angel that she is pretending to be… and does he not see it but neither did anyone else who works at the clinic. It’s actually getting really annoying.
The author is making it seem like everyone is incredibly stupid. *sighs* I don’t know why it’s bothering me so much. Perhaps it could be because this is starting to feel drawn out for no real reason.
