Well the premise is that they are characters from a novel, right? And in this novel they are the main characters and seen as good guys, but all their thoughts and actions that we have seen so far suggests that they are really scummy people. So it’s more that I wonder how twisted the og novels logic and view on things must have been to make them be seen as “good guys”.
