“Our relationship was dry and dreadful.”
Okay and what did you do to change that? Other than apparently betray him?
    .
    From his perspective:
-He was forced to marry the daughter of a drug lord who was too terrified to utter more than a handful of words to him at a time
-This new wife he didn’t want was incapable of doing basically the one thing expected of a noblewoman aka managing the household
-His closest confidants openly viewed her with contempt and she seemingly made no effort to change this
-She acted visibly uncomfortable around him whenever he was even in the same room
-She betrayed him and helped her drug lord father spread harmful substances throughout the kingdom which actively ruined who knows how many people’s lives
-At the end of it all she didn’t even seem to show remorse for what she did? She was too busy lamenting her powerlessness and acting shocked that she was taken advantage of even though her entire life that’s literally all anyone seemingly ever did.
    .
Lacking malice doesn’t mean she isn’t responsible for how her life turned out. I sympathize with getting thrown out and living what was clearly a terrible life where she froze to death but it’s clear that she is not a smart woman and doesn’t feel the tiniest bit of culpability for her own actions.
Tbh it’s also crazy to me that she wouldn’t just… go somewhere else and use a fake name if she knows people hate her for who her father was. There’s no freaking way any commoner was recognizing her on sight so for her to get turned away during her time on the streets could legitimately only be because she was using her family name. Even the butler here explicitly states little is known about her and despite being a potential marriage candidate for his master he did not recognize her on sight. He was literally trying to dig up any and all information he could on her but did not immediately know who she was. So why would random people on the street recognize her??

Yeah this isn’t good… I’ll skip some chapters and see whether to drop or not.
    .
There’s no way someone super timid that died without changing can suddenly become like that. And now it’s just gonna be the same old cliche
