The devil he made a deal with asked him why because if he had his memories he could live a happy life with Keira and restore their bond but he chose not to, to atone for his sins. Although that’s the only positive thing I could say about the Grand Duke. He’s a trash dad overall and Keira and Zeke disown him basically at the end of the novel. Only coming back to the mention for everyone else other than him
