Ok the breakdown: Julius is the husbands older bother. He Died years ago. The villain took his soul and kept it because it was the purest he had seen. now as a last resort he has put that piece of soul into the body that the dragon was using when he was walking the Earth (the little boy) Julius is trying to resist but the villain keeps stealing pieces to cover his “darkness” with. He laced the pure soul piece with the darkness so it could get close to the saintess and activate the curse. Her husband has the mark though so evey time it activates it goes to him (the crown prince thinks the husbands dragon blood will be like the babies and nullify it) so the villain was BIG mad when the curse didn’t kill her and took another soul piece to do more evil… this is what I got from context clues 🕵️♀️
