They ended up deciding once a year and that’s during thanksgiving. FML’s mother declined regaining her status as the heir although the fml is quiet tempted, she said she’ll respect her mother’s wishes.
Glad that it’s somehow the same flow now as it was in the novel. But, there a plot hole since they change the first part. In here, the mother says she heard about what happen and what hikam did to his husband (in the novel, she heard about it from our MC after waking up in the dungeon. Yes, they didn’t left yet and stay in the dungeon to discuss. ) but here in the adaptation they didn’t have any conversation of what is the happen after mc’s mother was trap in the dungeon. ? On the other hand, I like how they added more scenes not included in the novel.

@AArtsy, it was saif in the novel that there’s nothing much in the dungeon but salt (?) Not sure because it was quite a while since I’ve read this part but I remember the fml saying “if you wanted to put up a salt business, this might be helpful but other than that there’s nothing useful here” also, after the fml collapsed, the 3 of them stayed in the dungeon camping because the fml asked them to keep it a secret and said she’s having a fever due to the use of divine power and she might be out for a while. So they used the food supply from the fml’s bag. As I said in my other comment, after waking up grandpa negotiated to her daughter that he wants to at least meet his grandkids at least once a year. There’s a lot of tiny details (that in my opinion can help the readers understand the atmosphere between the characters as well as their emotions at that time) that were excluded.
@AArtsy, plus she came in the dungeon not for the rewards. I think she was hunting some food that night. It was mentioned that when the fml’s father rescued her wife, the wife pretended to lose all of her memories. She fell in love with the the man (fml’s dad) and since she has nothing, she would hunt for him and feed him delicious food. And when fml’s dad got exploited (apparently being a disciple of the tpwer, they should have some kind of allowance, but the guy who kept fml’s father not only manipulated him into picking him as his master, but also stole his (fml’s dad) money and his research) the wife would hunt food for his exhausted husband. She got trapped in the process. I remember reading something similar to this: the fml’s mom felt bad that all she do was receive the man’s love and kindness,. Plus after giving birth to their daughter, all she do is stay at home and recuperate. That’s why she wanted to give him at least a decent meal and went to the woods hunting- or something similar
