They have a past alright, however he seems to have regressed after living with her for some time as well.
Maybe thats the reason behind his seemingly merciless purges here and there, since he was and is aware of when and where a problem is about to be brewed.
And this jerk of an aide smells like trouble for sure. He said he had leant from her, yet he clearly had framed her in the emperor’s flashback. I think he still isn’t fully sure about that. Its so vague at this point..lets wait and see…
That aide was taught by elliere? And still holds such animosity towards her? Is that translation error? But these type of people are the worst. Sure you’re working for a somewhat powerless emperess but that’s not their fault. Why take it out on them? And you know the emperor favours them? Why not try to get into their good books
