Well she was isolated by the dean and could not prepare. No one would expect someone to attack you in a safe place that has not experience conflict. I am surprised she did not have any self defense tools on her, so her living environment has no threats.
That’s a nice and creative idea as to how time turned back for the heroine! It’s still a shame that she didn’t use any magic tools to defend her and that she didn’t flee even when she heard voices screeming that she was pursued as a traitor…
