This story is a real gem. You can see how the plot is well thought and how the author carefully written each scenario. The conflict is great, the character design isn’t 1 dimensional. Everyone has depth and personality. I love it

Johannes (Shuli’s deceased husband) actually abused her to the point where she forgot about her trauma which is why she gets that feeling passing by his room. She only remembers the sweet memories and not the bad things he did to her
I KNEW IT!!! The fact that a grown-ass old man took a teenager as his wife makes for a big red flag already. I knew he was very suspicious to specifically take Shulli as a wife just to “take care” of his children. FCK. I’m so angry right now. I love all the children, but she suffered so much as a young lady in that household damn. Nora!! Please make Shuli happy!!!!
that’s not a spoiler, that didn’t happen in the novel AT ALL. Shuli’s wounds came from Elias throwing a rock at her and her falling down the steps because of it. It’s made explicitly clear that Johannes was morally grey because he took in a young, unprepared wife to protect his children, not because he hurt her. stop spreading lies, tf. you can search the forum and others who have read the novel clear this up, simple as that.
I think so? it definitely seems to be in that direction. Or maybe the cardinal was warning her in general that any relationship(s) she has in the future will only lead to her demise, or even an end to both her and her “lover”
