Burning churches is a stretch, but yeah medical churches were really corrupt – turning from places of worship and services to somewhere that nobles sent their unwanted kids to perchance rise in ranks. The corruption is actually part of the reason the reformation happened and that led to the great divide between Catholics (who at that time valued hierarchy and tradition, even more so than the Bible itself,) and the reformers (who where more focused on a personal connection to God to try to avoid such church overreach, they also advocated reading the Bible for yourself so as not be to led astray by false teachers) .

Yikes. The crown prince is definitely gonna be a problem. And it seems he doesn’t take no for an answer, even from the Emperor. Also, the fact that Nora’s parents prioritize he prince over their own son shows them to be pretty much power hungry bastards. Especially considering the crown prince’s biological mother isn’t even Duke Nuremberg’s sister. By rights they should have supported the second prince. So essentially, the Duke is trash and his wife is weak.
